Overview

QBO Cleaner is a browser extension designed to enhance your QuickBooks Online experience. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.

Data Collection

QBO Cleaner processes QuickBooks page content in your browser and stores your extension preferences using browser storage.

The extension source does not include its own server, analytics tracker, or advertising endpoint that receives:

• Personal identification information
• Financial data or transaction details
• Browsing history
• Usage analytics or telemetry
• Cookies or tracking data

How the Extension Works

QBO Cleaner operates on QuickBooks Online and its sandbox (qbo.intuit.com and sandbox.qbo.intuit.com). The extension:

• Reads page content to identify where to add enhancement buttons
• Modifies the page display to add "Print Receipt" buttons and bulk editing tools
• Replaces "Schedule Payment" links with "Make Payment" links on vendor pages
• Reads displayed vendor, bill, payment, and credit details to create requested remittance reports and receipts
• Uses QuickBooks controls to load transaction pages and apply requested workflow actions

Report processing happens in your browser. QuickBooks continues to communicate with Intuit through its normal interface. Printed reports, saved PDFs, and copies you share can contain financial information; you choose where to save, print, or share them.

Permissions

QBO Cleaner requests the following browser permissions:

• activeTab: Allows the extension to interact with the current tab when you're on QuickBooks Online pages.
• storage: Stores extension preferences using the browser extension sync storage API. Your browser may synchronize those preferences according to its account and platform settings.

Settings and Backups

Stored preferences include feature switches, Quick Create actions, bookmarks and their names, menu choices, dismissed-banner identifiers, and creator email-to-display-name aliases. Aliases may contain personal information you enter. Preferences are not always local-only because the browser may synchronize them.

Save Setup to File exports all 13 preference fields as JSON. The file may contain creator emails, display names, bookmark names, and QBO paths; the settings backup does not export invoice or payment records. Load Setup from File imports recognized configuration fields. Share backups only with intended recipients.

Website Analytics

This website uses Vercel Web Analytics for aggregated site usage, including page views, referrers, browser/device information, and installation and support-link clicks. Vercel describes this service as using no third-party analytics cookies. We strip query strings and fragments from analytics event URLs. The feature-search input is not sent as a custom analytics event.

An installation-link click is not a confirmed extension installation. These website events do not contain your QBO transaction amounts, creator aliases, or settings-file contents. The extension itself does not include the website analytics script. See Vercel’s analytics privacy information for its processing details.

Third-Party Services

The QBO Cleaner extension does not include its own analytics, advertising tracker, or telemetry service. QuickBooks/Intuit, browser account synchronization, and any other extensions you install operate under their own privacy terms.

Data Security

QBO Cleaner does not ask for your Intuit password; authentication occurs in Intuit and any password manager you choose to use. Protect settings backups, downloaded reports, and printed copies according to the information they contain.
