A little less friction.
Use Hide sub-rows on supported QBO report-builder pages to reduce detail while keeping parent rows and totals available. Show sub-rows restores the detail in the same view.
How to use it
- Enable Workflow Polish and open a supported report-builder report.
- Run or refresh the report if its native result set is empty.
- Choose Hide sub-rows in the extension toolbar.
- Choose Show sub-rows to restore detail before continuing your review.
What that looks like
Illustrative example
Review top-level income and expense sections with totals visible, then show the underlying detail again.
Good to know before you start
What you need
- Workflow Polish enabled.
- A supported report-builder table with identifiable subrows.
Scope & limitations
- This is a display control, not a change to report calculations or saved transactions.
- Not every QBO report format exposes the same row structure.
- Disabling Workflow Polish or leaving the report restores owned row modifications.
