Install the published Chrome extension
- Open the official Chrome Web Store listing using the button above. Check that the publisher is Shop Tach LLC.
- Review the version, description, and browser permission prompt, then add the extension if it fits your needs.
- Open QuickBooks Online and sign in through Intuit as usual. Pin QBO Cleaner in the browser toolbar so you can reach its settings.
- Open the popup and check its version. Configure the features available in that release, then refresh an already-open QBO tab.
Know which version you have
The public listing was verified at 1.19.44 on October 17, 2026. The feature guides on this site describe the newer 1.19.48 release preview. That preview is not yet claimed as a published store update.
Browser-managed updates and an unpacked development installation are different. For an unpacked installation, reload it in the browser’s Extensions page and refresh QBO after changing its source. Follow your organization’s installation policy.
A useful first setup
Choose the actions you use most, add a few sidebar bookmarks, and decide how you want promotional cards handled. In the preview, Workflow Polish controls the Search-adjacent Quick Create button and related shortcuts.

Keep your preferences
Save a settings backup before changing installations or testing a different setup. A compatible backup contains configuration rather than your accounting records. It can include creator aliases and bookmark names.

Using Edge or Safari?
Local Chrome and Edge testing and signed macOS Safari testing are documented on the compatibility page. The Chrome store link is not a Safari installation. Safari 1.19.48 (build 50) was submitted to Apple review on October 17, 2026, with automatic release after approval. An App Store installation link will be added when available. Installed iOS remains unverified.
