A little less friction.
Use line checkboxes and Delete Selected to remove chosen category rows from a bill or expense form. Review the resulting rows and transaction total before deciding whether to save.
How to use it
- Open the bill or expense and inspect its category lines.
- Select individual line checkboxes, or use Select All when every eligible line should be included.
- Choose Delete Selected and review any confirmation shown.
- Check the remaining rows and total. Save only when the form reflects the changes you intended.
What that looks like
Illustrative example
A draft with four category lines can have two selected lines removed together. The other two remain available for review before you save.
Good to know before you start
What you need
- A supported editable bill or expense category table.
Scope & limitations
- Removing a line changes the draft total. It is a different action from deleting an entire saved bill.
- The toolbar applies to eligible category lines, not every table on the screen.
- Use QBO’s cancel/revert controls if you do not want to keep draft changes.
Something look different? Visit help & support. QuickBooks changes its interface, and available controls depend on your company and permissions.
