A little less friction.
Map an email displayed in a supported creator column to a name you recognize. Aliases help you read the list and creator filters without changing the record’s author in QuickBooks.
How to use it
- Open extension settings and find Receipts Page.
- Enter the creator’s email and a display name. Choose Add.
- Open a supported list with that creator information and review the displayed alias.
- Remove or replace an alias in settings when it is no longer needed.
What that looks like
Illustrative example
Map bookkeeper@example.com to Alex in the extension. A supported creator cell then displays Alex while the original QBO author record remains unchanged.
Good to know before you start
What you need
- A valid email address and a non-empty display name.
- A supported table with a matching creator email.
Scope & limitations
- Aliases are display preferences, not changes to QBO user identity or permissions.
- Aliases can appear in browser-synced settings and exported backups. Share backups deliberately.
Something look different? Visit help & support. QuickBooks changes its interface, and available controls depend on your company and permissions.
