Navigation

A more useful QBO menu

Hide distractions. Expand the sections you use.

A little less friction.

Choose which offered categories and child links appear in QBO’s navigation. Expansion preferences open supported sections without requiring a fresh series of clicks on each visit.

How to use it

  1. Open My Apps Menu in extension settings.
  2. Choose Hide for an offered parent category or an individual child link.
  3. Choose Expand for sections you want opened automatically.
  4. Return to QBO and review the menu. Clear a setting to restore its native entry; refresh after a Safari import.

What that looks like

Illustrative example

Keep Accounting and Expenses & Bills expanded, while hiding an offered category you do not use. Your records and access rights stay controlled by QuickBooks.

Good to know before you start

What you need

  • Offered menu entries that match the current QBO layout.

Scope & limitations

  • Hiding navigation does not remove records or change anyone’s permissions.
  • QBO can rename or rearrange menu items; unsupported new layouts may need an extension update.
  • A manual collapse can remain while an expansion preference stays enabled.

Something look different? Visit help & support. QuickBooks changes its interface, and available controls depend on your company and permissions.
