Interface

Reduce promotional popovers

Fewer feature pitches over your work.

A little less friction.

Hide supported promotional coachmarks and their associated backdrop masks while preserving ordinary useful hover labels. This is part of the promotional banner controls.

How to use it

  1. Turn Hide Promo Banners on in settings.
  2. Choose automatic hiding, or manual Hide ad controls with Auto-hide off.
  3. Return to QBO and inspect supported promotional tips when they appear.
  4. Turn the setting off or reset manual dismissals when you want to restore a detected promotion.

What that looks like

Illustrative example

A detected promotional tip should disappear with its associated blocking mask so the underlying navigation remains usable.

Good to know before you start

What you need

  • Hide Promo Banners enabled.
  • A supported promotional tooltip or coachmark pattern.

Scope & limitations

  • Ordinary native hover tooltips are treated differently from promotional popovers.
  • New QBO overlays may need a detection update.
  • This is separate from Intelligence auto-open blocking.

Something look different? Visit help & support. QuickBooks changes its interface, and available controls depend on your company and permissions.
